Join us for the Reindeer Games Holiday Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, December 7, 2024. This round-robin tournament is hosted by the Southern Pickleball Academy at Dink’d, the brand-new indoor facility in Augusta, GA. The tournament welcomes players in two age brackets: under 55 and 55+ (as of 12/31/2024). There will be two skill divisions: 3.0 and 3.5 with four matches anticipated per bracket. The Reindeer Games has a limited entry of 60 teams, with just 5 teams in each age and skill division. You choose between Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles; one bracket is included in your registration fee. Don’t delay; secure your spot early!

Additional Information

All round-robin games and medal matches will be one game to 11 points, winning by 2 points. A team must play at the skill level of the higher-rated player and the age group of the younger player. Gold medal-round matches will be officiated whenever possible; tournament play will follow the 2024 USAP rule book, which can be found here: https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/

All players MUST register with an indicated partner BY NAME. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full. Southern Pickleball Academy is not responsible for ensuring every player has a partner.

The Tournament Director (TD) and Committee reserve the right to modify the format of any bracket, division, or level as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the event. They also have the authority to change any policies as needed. This adaptability is essential for responding to unforeseen circumstances and for enhancing the tournament experience for all participants.

To note: player skill levels are subject to adjustment based on past performance. When ratings update between your registration and the tournament and your ratings go to the next higher skill level, you will be notified of the change, then moved to that bracket by the tournament administrator.

Health & Safety

Your safety and enjoyment at the tournament is paramount to us and our friends at Dink'd. Please be sure to wear appropriate shoes for the hardcourt (outside) surface and comfortable clothing that doesn't match the ball color(yellow).

Also, please bring your personal water bottle; a refill fountain is available. Dink'd also has a full-service grill and bar so you are not allowed to bring food into the facility. That's not really a problem - they have great food!

In addition, you will be receive links to two separate waivers in your Player Email, one for the facility and one for Southern Pickleball Academy. These must be submitted before you can participate.

Refund Policy

A full refund minus Pickleball Bracket fees is allowed for cancellations before midnight Friday, November 22. There will be no refunds for cancellations within the two weeks before the tournament. However, a substitute player may replace a canceled player without an additional registration and event fee. Registration for the substitute player is the responsibility of the player who canceled; there may be an additional $5 fee from Pickleball Brackets. Southern Pickleball Academy does not take responsibility for replacing players who cancel.
