Welcome to Latitude 42 Pickleball Fever in the Zoo!
Pickleball Fever in the Zoo: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, July 14-16, 2023

The tournament will be held in the beautiful 12-court pickleball complex at the Ramona Park on Sprinkle Road in Portage, Michigan. The Pickleball Fever in the Zoo Tournament offers skill/age events for ages 13 and up: Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles.

Due to low enrollment: Singles for men and women have been cancelled.

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR TOURNAMENT. IN THE EVENT OF RAIN THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP DATES AND NO REFUNDS. NO INDOOR BACKUP FACILITY.

Registration will be limited based on the number of entries we can accommodate for a 12-court outdoor facility.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Registration is $65.00/person, which includes a player gift.

Pickleball Fever in the Zoo Skill/Age events are $10.00/event.

You must be a member of USA Pickleball to participate.

All matches will have a Foot Fault Finder (FFF) or referee.

Thanks to Franklin X-40 for supplying the balls for our tournament.

You must register for the age bracket of the younger player and the skill level of the higher skilled player.

UPDATE 4:30pm: Weather Update: It is raining again at Ramona. Another hour to dry the courts once the rain stops. This confirms that we made the right decision.

Players,

One of the hardest decisions a Tournament Director of an outdoor tournament has to make is whether or not to cancel a day of play. Today, unfortunately, is that day. Looking closely at the radar, it appears the high probability of rain will not end until close to 11:30 a.m. We'll need over an hour to dry the courts, even if we get some sunshine. Even reducing each game to one game to 11, win by 2, we would not complete all the matches before dark. There is another system expected in at 4:00pm. We don't feel it's fair to get half the players to play and not the other half. We deeply regret having to make this decision, but hope you understand.

Sunday looks promising, we hope to see you all there. Ladies, we hope you had fun yesterday!

Well, the rain looks like it might be out of the area by 10:00am. We'll need at least an hour to get the courts playable. Therefore, play today is suspended until 11:00am. All start times will be moved back 3 hours and all games will be played to 11, win by 2 in order to attempt to get all matches completed before dark. We know some of you may withdraw due to weather delay, so please let us know if you decide not to play. Hopefully, with no additional rain in afternoon, we can get today's Mixed doubles competition completed.

Refund Policy

Players may cancel until July 7, 2023. There is a $10.00 cancellation fee on all cancellations.

This is an outdoor tournament. There are no rain dates and no refunds.
