The Pickle Garden Mardi Gras Classic

Dear Players, we are excited to invite you to participate in our Pickle Garden Mardi Gras Classic. Let's celebrate sport we love during the cooler season!
We are offering two age brackets: Open age and 55+. Open age will have 4 skill levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+ while 55+ bracket will have 3.0+ and 4.0+ skill levels.

Schedule:
Friday February 9th: starting at 9am: Ladies Doubles 60+ and Men's Doubles 60+ (both skill levels).
5:15PM MONEYBALL
Saturday, February 10th: Ladies Doubles Open Age all skill levels, Men's Doubles Open Age, all skill levels.
Sunday, February 11th: Mixed Doubles Open Age, all skill levels, Mixed Doubles 60+ 3.0+ and 4.0+.
All start times are subject of change.

Additional Information

Format of play will be Round Robin.
There will be breakfast and snacks for players in the players' lounge and Food Truck on Saturday and Sunday.

Event fees:

Registration fee is $45 (members of The Yards $35, members email pickleball@playtheyards.com for your discount code)
Event fee - one event is included in the registration fee, second/third $10
Moneyball event fee - $40 (total $85).

Code of Conduct:

All players will be held to the Player Code of Conduct

Weather

This tournament is an outdoor event. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs, organizers will do all they can to play matches. If brackets are in mid play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined. All unfinished brackets can be postponed to the later date and no refunds will be issued.

Prize Money

Moneyball is a coed money event.
If 12 teams register, winning team will receive a minimum of $1000 prize money.
If 16 teams register, winning team will receive a minimum of $1500 prize money.
If 24 teams register, winning team will receive a minimum of $2000 prize money.

Moneyball Format of Play
Pool Play - Round Robin, 1 game to 11, win by 1. 2 top teams from each pool will go to playoffs, 1 game to 15, win by 2. Championship Match will be 2 out of 3 to 11, win by 2.

Refund Policy

Withdrawals before January 26th, 2024 will receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.
No refunds or credits for any reason after the CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE.

If you registered and paid the registration fee and were put on the wait list; you will not be charged the event fee until you are actually moved into the event. If you do not move off the wait list; a full refund will be issued at the end of the tournament. The cancellation fee will not apply.
**The PT Software Fee is non-refundable as stated on the checkout**

Refunds will be issued 7- 10 days at the completion of the tournament.
