Pickleball Canada National Championship 2022

Description

Welcome to the 2022 Pickleball Canada National Championship in beautiful Kingston, Ontario. This is the first National Championship that will give you the opportunity to play up to 5 events! There will be age events in Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles split into 3.5 and under and 4.0 and above, skill/age Singles and skill/age Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles. Beyond the competition there will be a clinic day featuring top pro and reigning Men's and Mixed Canadian Champion Steve Deakin as well as several social events throughout the week including a dinner cruise through the stunning 1000 Islands.

This event is limited to Canadian citizens only and proof of citizenship will be required at check in.
These are the acceptable documents to prove citizenship:
a) Canadian Birth Certificate
b) Valid Canadian passport or NEXUS
c) Secure Certificate of Indian Status
d) Permanent Resident card
e) Canadian Citizenship Certificate dated after February, 2012
f) Canadian Citizenship Card dated before February, 2012

Your spot in the tournament is not secure until both teammates are fully registered and paid.

Tournament Director reserves the right to combine or split events at their discretion.

Junior aged players wishing to play in the adult events can submit a request to the Tournament Director.

This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned event with all matches refereed and will follow IFP rules.
The events will be played as double elimination. Winner side matches will be 2 of 3 to 11 and loser side will be one game to 15 with the exception of the Bronze medal matches which will be 2 of 3 to 11.

The ball will be the Onix Fuse Indoor yellow ball.

June 23 - Mixed Doubles Age
June 24 - Singles
June 25 - Men's and Women's Doubles Open and Skill/Age
June 26 - Mixed Doubles Open and Skill/Age

If this is the first time you will participate in a tournament which uses the Pickleball Brackets system, give careful thought to the skill levels you recorded in your Player Profile. These skill levels plus .250 will be the starting point for your tournament rating calculation. We will be observing any and all covid mandates that may be in place at the time of the Championships.

Refund Policy

Refunds available up till June 3, all refunds, for any reason are subject to a $15 administration fee. No refunds after that date for any reason.
