REGISTERING FOR AN EVENT
NEW CTPR policy! PCO policy on the use of CTPR must be followed for all Sanctioned Tournaments.
When registering for a skill level – should both players choose to, they may play up ONLY a 0.5 rating level from their current CTPR.
The only exception specifically for this tournament are for:
- The 4.0+ (on Women’s Singles) and
- 4.5+ (on Men's Singles, Gender Doubles, and Mixed Doubles)
where ONLY 1 player can play up 0.5 rating and the other player must have the minimum rating of that specific event.
The skill level of players is determined by the data in the players' Pickleball Brackets profile AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. The priority for determining a player's skill level is their Canadian Tournament Player Rating (CTPR). If that is lacking then their Pickleball Brackets profile tournament rating, and if that is lacking their Pickleball Brackets self-rating.
This is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament. All registrants MUST be a Pickleball Canada member in good standing to play in this tournament. Please ensure your Pickleball Canada Membership number and your skill level are up to date in your pickleballbrackets.com profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://pickleballcanada.org/
Registration is online only at https://pickleballbrackets.com/. Registration is not complete until BOTH partners have registered, agreed to the online waiver, and PAID in full. Online payment via Stripe. Please note: Stripe accepts credit card payments. When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist.
Enter as a TEAM and make sure your partner registers and pays within 3days of your registering. If a partner has not completed his/her registration within 3days of the first partner registering, the team will be moved to waitlist. When the identified partner registers, and pays, the team will be moved from the waitlist back to the active list ONLY if there is a slot available. Confirm your partner BEFORE registration to avoid disappointment. If you do not have a partner you can click on “players needed a partner’ to possibly find one.
All players must complete their registration by June 14, 2024, at 9:00 p.m., to remain on the Active list. COMPLETE means, the waiver is signed, BOTH partners have agreed to the PCO waiver, and registration is paid IN FULL.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to place players in the Skill Group based on their current UTPR/USAPA/PCO rating skill groups based on registration (aka AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION). The Tournament Committee has the right to make changes to the tournament, combine divisions, or change and alter the format depending on the number of registrations received.
ACTION REQUIRED - In your PLAYER PROFILE check "Receive in game text messages". Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments
