Whistler Spring Challenge 2023
Hosted by Whistler Pickleball Association and Whistler Pickleball School
Dates: Apr 15-16, 2023
April 15 - Mens & Womens Doubles Events
April 16 - Mixed Doubles Events
Entry Fee: $10 + $20 per event (1 event =$30, 2 events =$50)
Skill Levels: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, (4.0)*
*NOTE: 4.0 categories have been removed to make more space in the more popular categories
Registration Opens: March 25, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
Registration Closes: April 8, 2023 at 9:00 p.m.
All registration is through Pickleball Brackets where you must have created a profile.
All registrants MUST be a Pickleball Canada member in good standing to play in this tournament. Please ensure your Pickleball Canada Membership number and your skill level are up to date in your pickleballbrackets.com profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://pickleballcanada.org/.
Refund Policy:
Registrants withdrawing before Apr 8, 2023, 9:00 p.m. will be refunded registration & event fees minus a $15.00 administration fee. Absolutely NO refunds for any reason the entry deadline has passed.
Format:
All events will consist of a Round Robin preliminary round followed by a medal round.
Round Robin matches will be: 1 game to 11, win by 2, no cap
Medal Round matches will be: 1 game to 15, win by 2, no cap
The Tournament Director may modify the format of any event depending on registration numbers. Our goal is to maximize participation for everyone within the time constraints of the indoor booking. We will guarantee 3 games per event.
Officiating:
Medal matches will be refereed provided that we have enough volunteers. If you are willing to referee, please contact Tournament Director, Kirk Paterson at fun@whistlerpickleball.com

About Us:
The Whistler Pickleball Association exists to facilitate the growth of pickleball in Whistler and surrounding areas for the enjoyment health and social engagement of all players by offering organized recreational and competitive play.
The Whistler Pickleball School organizes pickleball lessons, activities and events with a specialization in School / Youth programming. Our goal is to introduce more people to the sport and ultimately have a positive impact on physical literacy and active living in the community.
The goal of this event is to raise $400-$500 that will be used to subsidize local Youth programs.
