Melbourne GET READY! PPA Tour Australia and MLP Australia are returning in 2024.
From November 8th - 10th, we'll be hosting our PPA Tour Australia: Melbourne Open at the wonderful Centenary Park in Frankston Nth, Melbourne. With a record-breaking $100k+ in prize money up for grabs at this event, the 2024 season two finale is heating up!
Don't miss the action and excitement of MLP Australia as the region's top players battle it out each afternoon over three days to be crowned Champions for Event 3. We will also see the debut of the MLPA Masters 50+ challenge happening each morning at the venue.

PPA Tour Australia is the official Professional Pickleball League of Australia featuring the top players, highest prize money, and best events across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia - with over $700,000 up for grabs across six events in 2024.
FORMAT AND EVENTS
PPA Tour Australia offers exciting and competitive formats for all athletes from aspiring amateurs in our Open, Masters (50+), Juniors (Under 16) categories, to our elite Pro division.
- PRO: The Highest level of Pro Pickleball in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
- OPEN: Compete in our Open Tour format, designed for the next generation of pickleball champions rated 3.5+, open to all ages.
- MASTERS: Join our Masters Tour for athletes aged 50 and above, rated 3.5+.
- JUNIORS: Showcase your talent in our Juniors Tour, for Rising Stars under 16.

PRO FORMAT
The registration deadline for PPA Tour Australia Pro Events is Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Qualifying rounds for PPA Pro Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles will take place at 5 pm the evening before the event date if required, based on the number of registrations.
- All athletes register via the qualifier for PPA Pro Events.
- Contracted MLPA/PPA Pro players receive automatic entry into the PRO Main Draw.
- Non-contracted players who sign up with contracted players will receive the next preference (based on - contracted players' PPA Ranking).
- Non-contracted players will then fill the remaining spots based on PPA Rankings Points, then DUPR.
Qualifier rounds take place when the overall team number (or player number for singles) exceeds a certain limit.
24 teams (or players for singles) in the Main Draw: We will run a qualifier for 8 teams (or players for singles) to qualify for the Main Draw of 32. (If draw capacity allows, a 40-team draw may be run)
After pro registration closes, we will determine how many teams/players get an automatic bid into the main draw, which will determine the size of the main draw and the qualifier rounds. Players will be notified by Wednesday, October 23, following the pro registration deadline whether they are in the main draw or the qualifier rounds.
PPA Pro Qualifier Format:
Single Elimination 2/3 to 11, win by 2.
Starting 5 pm the evening before the registered event.
PPA Pro Main Draw Format:
Single Elimination 2/3 to 11, win by 2.
The losers of the semis will play a bronze medal match.
Losers of Round 32 or 24 move into the Points draw if they nominate they will not drop into the Open Draw.
OPEN AND MASTERS FORMAT (3.5+)
Skill Levels 3.5+ will play Double Elimination with no come-around (i.e., if a team loses a match, the best they can do is bronze. They cannot come around to win the gold).
Main Draw:
Matches consist of a best of 3 game format with each game to 11, win by 2 points.
Consolation:
Each match consists of one game to 15, win by 2 points, except for the final match which determines 3rd place.
Entry Fee:
$80.00/player, the First event is free.
- Pro Qualification Event - $20 each.
- Pro 4.5+: Second and Third Events are $20.00 each.
- Masters 50+: Second and Third Events are $10.00 each.
- Open 3.5+: Second and Third Events are $10.00 each.

PPA Tour Australia and MLP Australia are thrilled to announce a prize pool of over $100,000 for our upcoming tournament! With $30,000 allocated, Pro (total $24,000) and Masters 50+ Categories (total $6,000), there will be plenty of opportunities for top-level competition. PPA Tour Australia's Overall Rankings Bonus:
Players will accumulate points from all events in 2024, including the upcoming Gold Coast, Vietnam, and Melbourne. PPAA-signed players receive 100% of the Rankings Race Bonus available at each tier. Non-PPAA-signed players receive 50%, with the remaining 50% distributed to PPAA-signed players from 6th place onwards in $200 instalments until all extra prize money has been awarded.

Refund Policy
PPA Tour Australia will provide full refunds up to the close of registration (excluding transaction and service fees).
After registration closes, the provision of a medical certificate will ensure a full refund minus the transaction and service charges.
General withdrawal after the close of registration will result in a $80 registration payment being retained by PPA Tour Australia to cover costs incurred.
Once draws and times are published (1 week prior), no refund will be given, except when a medical certificate can be provided.
