Pints & Paddle: Fall Classic

Description

Welcome to the Pints & Paddle Fall Classic.

This tournament will be hosted in its entirety at Pints & Paddle and will feature pool play with the top teams advancing to a single elimination bracket. Both pool play and the single elimination bracket will happen the same day. Not all teams will advance to the single elimination round.

Teams will get 5 game minimum assuming we get full pools (6 teams). Otherwise teams will play 4 game of pool play.

Top teams from each pool advance to the same day, single elimination bracket.

PLEASE READ!! - IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING WHICH DIVISION TO SIGN UP FOR:

To sign up for the correct division and to make it fair play for everyone, we will be taking both partner's DUPR ratings in account. Instead of signing up according to the highest rated player on your team, we will be taking a weighted average of both players: 65% of the highest rated player and 35% of the lowest rated player. Below is a good example:

Player A is a 4.25 and Player B is a 3.4. If you take 65% of Player A's rating and 35% of Player B's rating, you will get an average of 3.95. Therefore, this team will sign up for the 3.5-4.0 division.

Here is the formula: (Player A x .65) + (Player B x .35)

Additional Information

Round Robin: Games to 11, win by 2. Hard stop at 15.
Bracket: Games to 15, win by 2. Hard stop at 19.
3rd: Game to 15, win by 2.
1st: Best ⅔, play to 11, win by 2.

DUPR: DUPR rating will be required during signup for any division. No exceptions. All players must play in the correct division according to their DUPR. All scores will be recorded. DUPR will be checked at signup time and teams will be moved into the correct divisions.

Unrated players may be allowed to play in divisions based on the tournament directors discretion. A DUPR account will still be required so scores can be recorded.

Pricing
$45 per player: Early bird signup
$55 per player: After September 1st

Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Important: After registering, teams have 7 days to register their partner. Teams that miss this deadline will be moved to the waitlist.

ESTIMATED division start times are listed but are subject to change based on how the brackets fill. Official start times will be provided 1 week before the tournament. In general, the estimated start times are within the general range (a few hours) of when your division will start.

In the interest of maintaining the tournament schedule, the Pickleball Director reserves the right to adjust scoring rules as needed. However, any adjustments will be announced and applied consistently across all matches.

Weather

Tournament will be hosted indoors. No weather concerns.

Participation is at your own risk. The tournament organizers are not responsible for any injuries or accidents sustained during the event.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please adhere to the following:

- Consult your doctor before participating, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
- Warm-up and stretch thoroughly before playing to prevent injuries.
- Stay hydrated throughout the tournament by drinking plenty of water.
- Wear proper attire and footwear: Closed-toe court shoes are mandatory.
- Be aware of your surroundings: Avoid collisions with other players, court hazards, and equipment.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with your opponents and teammates.
- Play within your limits: Don't attempt risky maneuvers that could lead to injury.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the tournament organizers immediately.
- Listen to your body: If you experience any pain or discomfort, stop playing and seek medical attention.

Refund Policy

We offer full refunds for cancellations received up to 7 days before the tournament. For cancellations within 7 days of the event, no refunds will be issued.
