Performance Pickleball RVA Welcomes you to the:

CARITAS PADDLE BATTLE
A pickleball tournament by and for Richmond's CARITAS, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to further their mission to create a safe space to heal and recover and time to rebuild and renew for those experiencing homelessness and/or addiction through community care and support.

Tournament Info:
This is a non-sanctioned one-day tournament being held at the all-new Performance Pickleball RVA premier indoor pickleball facility with Age & Skill Divisions in Men's and Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Matches will take place on 12 state-of-the-art dedicated indoor pickleball courts. There will also be a practice court set up for players to warm up.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each bracket.

Mixed Doubles Scheduled for the Afternoon

Cancellation deadline for a full refund is Sunday, January 28, 2024
Registration closes on Friday, February 2, 2024

Tournament Fees:
Registration is $55 per player and includes a free tournament t-shirt and other tournament sponsor giveaways. Please be sure to indicate your shirt size during the registration process. Late or last-minute registrants may not be guaranteed their shirt size, so be sure to sign up early.

There are no event fees as registration includes the cost of two events, Men's Doubles or Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles; however, there is a Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fee of $5 per event.

Additional Information

Rules & Format:
This is a non-sanctioned tournament; however, all USAPA 2024 rules will apply.

All Age & Skill brackets will be Round Robin with a Single Elimination bracket round and/or medal matches to be played immediately following the completion of Round Robin play.

Round Robin matches will be either best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 2 or 1 game to 11 win by 2.

Gold Medal matches will be best 2/3 games to 11 win by 2. Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2.

Notice: Age & Skill groups may be combined at the discretion of the Tournament Director to create brackets as needed based on the number of registered players. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to adjust the bracket and match formats as necessary.

Weather

This tournament will be held inside the all-new Performance Pickleball RVA indoor pickleball facility so play will go on snow, rain or shine!

Refund Policy

The Cancellation Deadline is Sunday 1/28/24. Full refunds (less the Pickleball Brackets non-refundable service fees) will be given through this date. After this date, there will be no refunds for cancellations or withdrawals. For any special circumstances or situations, please contact the Tournament Director for approval.
