Which state has the best pickleball players?
The answer will be revealed soon enough, courtesy of the inaugural United Pickleball State Championship (UPSC), a set of tournaments conducted across all 50 states in the country. The Gold Medalists from each of these tournaments will automatically secure invitations to the year-end United States Championship in Dallas, TX, and all event fees will be waived.
Come the United States Championship, a Champions Division will feature all the champions from each division nationwide battling against each other for pickleball supremacy.

Champions Division
Participants who secure skill-level gold at a state championship are eligible for a complimentary event fee to the United States Championship in Dallas, TX. This exclusive offer recognizes and rewards excellence in the Champions Division and ensures the best possible competition. This United States Championship will take place from November 4th to the 9th.

We are excited to offer a range of divisions to cater to players of varying age groups and skill levels:
Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
Age Groups: 18U, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+
Playing Divisions: MD, WD, MXD, MS, WS
Registration Starts
June = Early Registration = $45 + event fees
July = Registration = $60 + event fees
August 15st = Late Registration = $75 + event fees
August 31th = Very Late Registration = $90 + event fees
All Doubles Events are $20 each
All Singles Events are $35 each
All Open Divisions are $50 each
Additional Information
Players will utilize "World Pickleball" rating (WPR) from their player profile - If there is no WPR, then the "Pickleball Brackets" rating (PBR) is use. Lastly, Self rating is used and the responsibility of the player to set at a skill that is NOT lower than their DUPR or UTPR
Format Details - "Round Robin with Playoffs"
"Pool" play followed by playoffs of the top teams - usually the top 4
If there are fewer than 3 teams/players will be moved into a combined bracket.
Double Round Robin 1 to 15 win by 2 for 3 teams
Games: 1 to 15 win by 2 for brackets 4, 5, or 6 teams
Games: 1 to 11 win by 2 for brackets with 6 or 7 teams
8 or more teams will be split into pools with the top 2 teams go to a playoff round
Pickleball Is Great reserves the right to refuse service at anytime
Tournament Director may need to combine and adjust brackets as needed.
Prize Money

Women's Doubles & Women's Singles are cancelled due to lack of registrations
The prize money for the open brackets will be divided proportionally based on the number of players registered. These brackets will allocate 75% of the open bracket event fee ($40 per player) towards the prize pool. The payouts will be distributed as follows: 55% to the gold medalists, 30% to the silver medalists, and 15% to the bronze medalists. The total prize money will depend on the number of players registering for each open bracket. ($1000 minimum)
Refund Policy
CANCELLATION DEADLINE: 8/31/24
If you withdraw before the CANCELLATION DEADLINE above, you will be issued a refund (with a $15 processing fee deducted). Refunds will be issued at the conclusion of the tournament.
