Welcome to the Central Coast Doubles Pickleball Tournament on 6th August, 2023 at the Peninsula
Leisure Centre, 243 Blackwall Rd, Woy Woy NSW 2256
Registration Opens: June 12 at 8:00am (Eastern Standard time)
Registration Closes: July 6 at midnight (Eastern Standard time)
This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED tournament. It will use the current International Pickleball rules. They can be found at: USA Pickleball Official Rulebook and Rules Summary
Specific details are listed below:
- Entry Fee: $40.00/player. Second event is $10.00.
- Events will start with round robins (game to 15 win by 2) and move to elimination (game to 15 win by 2). Medal matches are best 2 out of three - first 2 win by 1, the third win by 2.
- You can play in two events during the tournament but both events need to be in a different category e.g. Mixed Doubles and Gender Doubles.
- Players are guaranteed three games per event.
- Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
- Players at a lower rating can enter a higher rated event.
- When you enter the tournament to register, you will be shown the events you are eligible to register for.

The tournament director reserves the right to modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control.
Additional Information
Before registering for this tournament:
1. You must have a current PAA membership through your state pickleball association e.g. PANSW.
2. You must have a profile on Pickleball Brackets.com, which you can create at the time of registering.
Self rating guidelines
If not registering at the same time as your partner, you have four days for them to register before you are placed on the Wait list.
Skill level bracket for partners is determined by the skill level of the higher rated partner.
The balls being used at the tournament are Orange Onix USAPA Approved Indoor balls.
Competitors are required to select clothing that is other than orange in colour (according to the International Pickleball rules) so there is no confusion seeing the ball.
Health & Safety
The venue is council run and has its own designated first-aid people on site at all times and a defibrillator.
Refund Policy
Player requests for withdrawals will be accepted until Tuesday, 1st August, 2023 at 6pm, with a full refund less a $10 administration fee.
After 1st August, 2023 at 6pm, there will be no refunds provided. Only exceptions would be hospitalisation, suffering from COVID or other such situation.

There is a small carpark at the front of the Centre and a larger one at the back. If they are both full proceed out of the carpark towards Alpha Rd. Turn right at the T intersection and where the road makes a left turn into Welcome Street turn right into the James Browne Oval carpark.
