Description
Welcome to Southern Pickleball Association's 5th Annual Monster Mash & Bash.
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday Oct 26th Mens & Womens Doubles
Sunday Oct 27th Mixed Doubles
Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players approximately one week prior to the event.
All matches will be governed by USA Pickleball rules. Paddles must be on the USA Pickleball Approved Paddle list.
Please check in at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start times.
You can follow the entire tournament on your phone. Go to pickleballbrackets.com. Login. Go to the tournament. Click draws and results. Then click on your bracket.
We use a text message system to run the tournament efficiently. You will receive 3 texts for each match.
1st Text - Match is in the queue. Get ready to play. As soon as we have a court available it will be time to play,
2nd Text - You have been assigned a court! One player from each team needs to report to the tournament desk. You will then go play your match, After your match, return the basket with balls and scorecard to the tournament desk,
3rd Text - The score of your match - please make sure we entered it correctly!
Please do us a favor and keep all bags outside of the courts. Players may bring a paddle, drink, and towel onto the courts.

RATINGS
- For new players with no rating, the PickleballBrackets.com self rating will be used.
-Players with a DUPR that is higher than their PickleballBrackets.com calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.

You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner". Selecting that you "need a partner" allows other players to see that you are available to play in the tournament. We do our best to introduce players that need partners, but this selection does not mean that the tournament will find a partner for you. It is still your responsibility to find a partner.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored. If a referee is requested, we will do our best to provide one.
Registration fee is $60 and includes one event. Additional Events are $10. Participants may play in up to 3 events as long as the events take place on different days.
Additional Information
All medal winners will qualify for the Southern Championships in January 2025 which will be held at Macon, GA's Rhythm and Rally - the world's largest indoor pickleball facility.
Refund Policy
Cancellation deadline is 9pm October 10th, 2024. No refunds for any reason after that date. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee.
This is an outdoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations. Players may purchase Tournament Insurance (TI). TI covers any weather-related cancellations as well as family emergencies and illness. If all events are canceled a player purchasing TI will be refunded 100 percent of their registration & event fees. If a player plays in an event and other events are canceled the player will be refunded the event fee for the canceled event. A player's tournament registration is non-transferable.
