AMATEUR PLAYERS
Get ready to enjoy a fun amateur-focused event powered by the PPA Tour and MLP.

UPA DC Open powered by MLP and PPA Carvana Tour
When: Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th
Cost: $95 per player or $400 per team of 4
You may sign up alone, with a partner, or as a team of four.
Please note: if you want to sign up solo or with a partner, we will assign you to a team. If you have a team of four ready to go, and provide your teammates' names, email addresses, and DUPR ratings so we can confirm their registration.
This amateur team event is run alongside MLP Washington, DC, the second event of Major League Pickleball's 2024 season. The DC Open matches will take place on the outer courts.
Registration includes:
Play at least 2 matches per day.
Grounds Pass to watch the MLP Washington, DC, professional team action on the day you compete
20% discount on additional single-day Grounds Passes
Medals for the top 3 teams in each division
Prizes for "Best Team Name" and "Best Team Outfits"
Bragging rights for top finishers
MLP Format
Due to the gender not having gender restrictions, we will group you by your DUPR rating, with Player 1 having the highest DUPR on the team and Player 4 having the lowest DUPR. The games will be played as
follows:
Game 1: Team A Player 1 & 2 vs Team B Player 1 & 2
Game 2: Team A Player 3 & 4 vs Team B Player 3 & 4
Game 3: Team A Player 1 & 3 vs Team B Player 1 & 3
Game 4: Team A Player 2 & 4 vs Team B Player 2 & 4

Amateur Format for Skill/Age Events
The event has the right to shorten match formats if weather poses scheduling delays.
Refund Policy
Due to the very short registration period, there will be no refunds for any reason, should a player have to withdraw after registration or an event is canceled, due to weather.
