1010 WINS Pickleball Tournament 2024

Description

Manhattan's biggest single day tournament is back! 1010 WINS is thrilled to invite you to its second annual pickleball tournament this April, hosted in partnership with NYC Pickleball and SPORTIME Randall's Island. Over 350 players and spectators joined us last fall, from the tri-state area and beyond, for an incredible day of pickleball at our inaugural 2023 event. Compete with the best at your level in Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles!

All clinics and tournament play will take place in a climate-controlled bubble on hard court tennis surface, with Franklin X-40 balls. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in all divisions, with additional prizes for medalists in the highest level "$1010 Prize Money" events.

Event Fees:
$100 per player, per standard event
$125 per player, per prize money event

Please Note: There are additional non-refundable fees charged by the Pickleball Brackets software platform ($5 per event; max $10 per player). No payment is required to join the waitlist. If you are moved to the waitlist after payment and do not get into the event, you will receive a full refund of the event fee listed above, but still be charged the Pickleball Brackets software fee of $5 per event.

FORMAT

Events will be round robin format, followed by pre-medal and medal matches. Pool play will be win by 1 games to 11 or 15, depending on final pool size. Medal and pre-medal matches will be games to 15, win by 2. Championship match for the $1010 Open Prize Money divisions will be best 2/3, games to 11, win by 2.

Additional Information

PAYMENT/PARTNER POLICY

Players must register with a partner and pay upon registration. Players not paid, and/or without registered and paid partners, will be moved to a wait list if the division in which a spot is being held can be filled with fully registered and paid teams.

PARTNER REPLACEMENT POLICY

If you need to replace a partner after registration closes, please contact tournaments@nycpickleball.com no later than 6pm the day before the event to ensure your team information is updated in our system. Any replacement partner must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play.

Weather

Event will be rain or shine! Clinic and competition courts are protected by a temperature controlled bubble, so players can expect a fabulous experience regardless of weather factors. SPORTIME will make every effort to ensure the safety of all players and participants, and to complete all events.

Health & Safety

Medical support will be available for the duration of the clinic and competition. Should players need injury assessment, an athletic trainer and physical therapist will be available for basic assessment and treatment in the facility gym.

Prize Money

Prize Money Events: $1010 will be awarded to the first place team in each Prize Money event for men's doubles, mixed doubles, and women's doubles. The second place team will win 2 hours of pickleball court time at SPORTIME Randall's Island, and the third place team will win 1 hour of court time. *Court time will be for up to 4 players, to be booked by the winners based on court availability.*

Standard Events: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each event will be awarded custom-made tournament medals.

Refund Policy

CANCELLATION DEADLINE: April 10, 2024

Withdrawals initiated for any reason by the player on or before Wednesday April 10, 2024, will be processed for a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

For players who registered and paid but are moved onto a waitlist, or are unable to participate due to partner withdrawal / non-registration: Full refunds (minus the $5 Pickleball Brackets admin fee) will be processed within 7-10 days after the tournament.

Pickleball Brackets admin fees ($5 per event, max $10 per player) are non-refundable, even if the event is canceled or moved. No refunds or credits issued for any reason after April 10, 2024.
