Description
This is not your typical Pickleball tournament! The Good Games are Canada's Biggest Multi-Sport Festival for athletes 30+. This year The Good Games feature 6 sports over the July 8-9 weekend, with the Pickleball competition being the most anticipated featured sport hosted at the state of the art facilities at The University of Guelph !!
We are excited to welcome you to "The University of Guelph", with 14 beautiful indoor Pickleball courts held at the Athletic Centre. This will be our 1st EVER tournament held at the University of Guelph.
This tournament will be broken down into skill/age categories 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 level, 30+, 50+, 60+ age. The PRO/OPEN category will be 18+. ** We have added a 2.0 -2.5 category for those newer to the sport and wanting to get some experience.
Tournament directors reserve the rights to combine brackets & change format based on registration numbers. The registration fee will be $50, $15 per event/$50 per OPEN event. Your spot is not guaranteed in your event until both partners are registered and paid in full.
Saturday July 8 2023 - Men's/Women's Doubles and Festival Kicks off!
Sunday July 9 2023 - Mixed Doubles
Starting time for each day will be 8AM. Depending on how many participants we have registered, the time can change for each day.
Tournament Format:
The 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5/30+, 50+, 60+ categories will be pool round robins and the top teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine medal winners. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games but most likely 5+. (Games played to 15, Bronze medal match played to 15, Gold medal round best 2 out of 3 to 11)
PRO/OPEN Division will be round robin into a double elimination format.

Players will receive instructions either when they receive confirmation of being registered into the tournament or in an email at least a week before the tournament.

We will need volunteers to help in many capacities. Volunteers will be in 4 hour time blocks.

The Good Games are Canada's biggest annual MultiSport Games for athletes 30+ with PRO Division 18+. The Games will attract athletes from across the region, province, Canada and the world and feature a top notch sports competition along with an Olympic Style Community Festival.
The Olympic Style Festival will be hosted right in the downtown core where athletes and fans can enjoy Beer Gardens, Food Trucks, Entertainment and an Olympic Beach Volleyball Court right in the middle of the city. .
2023 will feature 6 Sports over the July 8-9 weekend.
Pickleball will be played in the state of the art Athletic Center at the University of Guelph.

Refund Policy
All refunds, for any reason are subject to admin/service fees as follows:
$10.00 non-refundable service/admin fee for those registered in 1 category/event
$15.00 non-refundable service/admin fee for those registered in 2 category/events
Refunds available until June 1, 2023. (minus admin fee).
