2022 DC DPR Pickleball Challenge and Senior Games Tournament
Skill Level/Age Group and National Senior Games Qualifying Event.
Men's and Women's Doubles - Saturday, September 24th
Mixed Doubles - Sunday, September 25th
Registration is open to players 18 years of age and over.
Teams with both players age 50 and above can qualify for the National Senior Games Tournament in Pittsburgh, PA in Summer, 2023.

We have reached the maximum number of Men's and Women's Doubles teams on Saturday. The waiting list is still open for team wishing to sign up. Only full teams on the waiting list will be eligible to be moved into an event in case of a dropout.
Only a limited number of spots remain in Mixed Doubles.
Event spots are only guaranteed for FULL TEAMS. Players without partners after registration closes, WILL NOT be included in the event and will not be eligible for a refund. Encourage your partner to register early to secure your spot.

Registration opens for Teams age 50 and above on July 15th:
Registration is by Senior Games Division by age group.
Division I, at least one team member rated at 4.0 or above
Division II, at least one team member rated at 3.5
Division III, 3.0 skill level and below
Age groups for 50+ teams are 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Registration opens for Teams Under 50 on August 1st:
Registration is by skill level. Skill levels will by split by age group to create playing brackets. Age splits will be determined by registration numbers.
Skill levels are 3.0 and under, 3.5, and 4.0 and above
For All Ages: Teams must play in the age group of the younger partner and skill level of the higher rated partner.
Players with calculated PickleballBrackets.com ratings must use that rating.
USAPA members who do not have a PickleballBrackets.com rating, must use their UTPR rating.
Players with both ratings must use the higher of the two.
Ratings will be verified.

The top 4 teams in each skill/5 year age group for 50+ players will qualify for the National Senior Games Tournament.
There are also 4 spots in each skill age group event reserved for DC teams if out of state teams take any of the top four spots. A DC team is defined as a team where both players are DC residents.
The tournament director reserves the right to move players and teams to appropriate skill levels.

Groups may be combined or split at the discretion of the tournament director.
Each day will begin at 8:30 AM. Specific start times for events will be emailed and texted to players approximately one week prior to the tournament.
The tournament format is round robin for all events. Events with a large number of teams may be split into round robin pools followed by a playoff for the top teams in each pool.
The tournament reserves the right to modify the bracket format and number of rounds to comply with the guaranteed number of games per event.

Registration is online through this website starting on Friday, July 15th for Seniors Age 50+ and Monday, August 1st for all others.
Registration Fees:
DC Residents: $37.50 for one event, $52.50 for two events.
All Others: $47.50 for one event, $62.50 for two events.
All players registering by September 6th will receive a free tournament t-shirt.

Onsite parking lot and limited street parking. We encourage the use of public transportation and car pooling. If driving, allow sufficient time to locate a parking spot.

Refund Policy
Refunds, minus a $10 processing fee, will be issued for anyone withdrawing by September 14th. Refunds will be processed after the tournament is completed.
No refunds for withdrawals after registration closes.
Rain dates for the tournament are October 1st and 2nd.
No refunds if the tournament is cancelled due to rain on both weekends.
