Barrington Coast Regional Doubles 2023

Welcome to the Barrington Coast Regional Doubles Tournament on May 20th and May 21st, held at Wrigley Park, Douglas Street, Taree NSW

Registration Opens: April 9th @ 8:00 am
Registration Closes: April 30th @ 11:00 pm

This is a Pickleball Australia sanctioned tournament. It will use the current IFP rules. They can be found at: IFP Official Rules of Pickleball IFP Official Rules of Pickleball

Wrigley Park is an OUTDOOR venue, so inclement weather may impact on the delivery of this event.

Please note:
1. You must have a current PAA membership through your state pickleball association e.g. PANSW.
2. You must have a profile on Pickleball Brackets.com.
Self rating guidelines
- Entry Fee: $50.00/player. Second Event is $10.00.

- Events will start with round robins (game to 11 win by 2 or game to 15 win by 2) and move to elimination if required (game to 15 win by 2). Medal matches are best 2 out of three - first two are first to 11 with the last being 11 win by 2.
- You can play in more than one event during the tournament but the second event needs to be in a different category e.g. Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles.

- Players are guaranteed three games.
- Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
- Gender doubles will be played on Saturday May 20th.
- Mixed doubles will be played on Sunday, May 21st.

The tournament director reserves the right to cancel or modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (eg. WEATHER CONDITIONS).

Additional Information

• This is a small tournament with registration limited to 150 competitors. Numbers are restricted in each event. It is recommended that you register early. If the event you want to compete in is already full, you will be placed on the Waiting List. This does not mean that you will not be able to compete. It means that we will try to accommodate your registration as places become available. You will be automatically notified if/when you are removed from the Waiting List.

Before registering for this tournament:
• Open categories are available for Mixed, Men's and Women's Doubles. All players rated 4.0+ are encouraged to enter Open events.
• Everyone registering should ideally have a partner registering around the same time. A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 4 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the Waiting List. If you do not have a partner, you can look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner. (Click on the large button next to the logo on the Home page of the tournament website).
* If you have registered and not found a partner by May 1st, you need to contact the organisers to seek assistance.
• When registrations are closed, any event with insufficient numbers for a competition will need to be collapsed and combined with another event. Competitors in the collapsed event will be notified so they can decide if they still want to play.
• Participants are required to enter events at their current skill rating. If you are not rated, consult the self rating guide which can be downloaded from the top of this page.
• At a minimum, referees will be scheduled on the gold medal match.

Refund Policy

Player requests for withdrawals will be accepted until Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at 6pm, with a full refund less a $10 administration fee.

After 16th May, 2023 at 6pm, there will be no refunds provided except in the following:
- event cancelled due to weather conditions
- hospitalisation
- accident resulting in an inability to play
- suffering from COVID
- in isolation due to close contact with COVID or caring for a family member with COVID
- or other serious matter negotiated with us.
