2023 River City Classic

Description

Please hurry up and register for the River City Classic, our premier tournament of the year. We are looking forwards to hosting the River City Classic at Shaw Park Tennis Centre on the 17th and 18th of June, following its enormous success last year.

Men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles will all be played at the tournament. Please double-check that you've selected the correct category and skill level when registering. Please keep in mind that each event will include several age groups. However, you will only be permitted to compete in one age group per event!

Please keep in mind that if there aren't enough participants signed up for a given age group, age brackets may be merged at the tournament director's discretion once registrations have ended.

Games are scheduled to start at 7:30 am and finish by 9pm each day. Mixed doubles will be played on Saturday 17th June, while singles and gender doubles will be played on Sunday 18th June, .

Draws will be finalised and released after registrations are closed on 11th June.

Additional Information

PARKING: there is free parking on site next to the tennis centre. If the parking is full, there is plenty of space available on the street.

CASH: Remember there are no EFTPOS facilities so bring along cash for your payments.

REGISTRATION: Make sure you arrive at least half hour before your scheduled matches for warm up and registration.

TOURNAMENT BRIEFING: There will be a tournament brefing 15 minutes before the start of each division event. The Tournament is expected to run for full day. Be aware that your matches might be as early as 7:30am or as late as 8:45pm.

CHAIRS: There are limited seats available at the venue so we encourage spectators to bring their own camping chairs.

Refund Policy

In case of unforeseen lockdown, all paid registration fees will be refunded.

If the entire tournament is abandoned due to inclement weather then a full refund will be processed.

In the case where weather intervenes partway through the event that has commenced, and the event cannot be completed, then no refund is applicable.

Up until June 11th, 2023, a full refund less processing fees ($5) will be processed with no questions asked.
Please respect your double partner and find someone to fill in your spot after June 11th. Recommend the "Name Change" to the tournament. You can collect event costs from the substitute player.
