Description
Welcome to the Napier Athletics Pickleball Tournament! This tournament will be held outside at the West Hills park pickleball courts in Knoxville, Tennessee. When players aren't on the court, there are plenty of opportunities to explore Knoxville. From touring the University of Tennessee, exploring downtown Market Square, the Ijams Nature Center, the Zoo, and so much more!

Registration Cost is $55 and includes one event. Additional events are $10. The last day to register for the tournament is Monday June 17th at 11:55pm.
All fees and waivers MUST be submitted prior to the start of the tournament and all registrations MUST be of at least 18 years of age to participate!
The schedule is as follows:
Saturday June 22nd Mens and Womens Doubles
Sunday June 23rd Mixed Doubles
Competition each day may begin as early as 8:00 AM. Specific start times for each event will be posted and emailed to players days prior to the event. Players participating in an event on Saturday may also play in the event on Sunday.
Format of play will be round robin followed by medal brackets or medal matches.
A team must play at the skill level of the higher rated player (or higher) and the age group of the younger player. Age is calculated as of 12/31/2024.
As registration proceeds, tournament management reserves the option to combine brackets as needed if brackets do not fill. If brackets are combined to create playable brackets, awards will be based on the original division and not the combined bracket. Brackets will be combined by age if possible to avoid combining skills.

DISCOUNT FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS:
If you are a current college student, you are eligible to receive a discount. In order to receive the discount code to use at checkout, email pickleball@napierathletics.net a photo of your student ID. Screenshots of a digital student ID will not be accepted, it must be a photo of your physical ID card or a paper document in order to receive discount code. After receiving the discount code through email, apply the code at checkout!
RATINGS:
-PickleballBrackets.com ratings will be used.
-Players with a UTPR or DUPR rating that is higher than their PickleballBrackets.com calculated tournament rating may be moved to the higher level at the discretion of the tournament director.
**IMPORTANT**
You may register and identify your partner or request "Need partner".
For all doubles/mixed doubles events, the registration is not complete until BOTH PLAYERS HAVE REGISTERED SEPARATELY. To do this, each player must have their own player account set up on pickleballbrackets.com BEFORE the players begin the tournament registration process. A partner has 48 HOURS to register after their partner has registered. After 48 hours, the team risks being moved to the waitlist. The team will automatically move from the waitlist back to the active list if there is a slot available and both teams have paid. If a player needs a partner, the team will automatically move from the waitlist to the active list once a partner is identified, registers, and both players have paid if there is an available slot to move to. NOTE: Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered and all fees have been paid in full.
If an event is FULL: Make sure to join the waitlist!
To maintain the integrity of each event, the tournament director reserves the right to use rating systems including but not limited to DUPR, pickleballbrackets.com, etc to withdraw or change a player's registration status.
There are no referees. Matches are self-monitored.
Health & Safety
All registrants MUST be of at least 18 years of age. All registrants MUST sign the waiver of liability to be eligible to register and participate.
Please be prepared by bringing plenty of water/fluids and snacks. There will be 1-2 portable on site.
Days prior to tournament, emails will be sent out about parking.
Refund Policy
Prior to June 13th, 2024, players may seek to transfer the registration to another person. A $5/event transfer fee must be paid to cover the non refundable software service fee from Pickleball Brackets.
This is an outdoor tournament. There are no refunds for weather related cancellations or withdrawal from the tournament for any reason unless a player has purchased tournament cancelation insurance. If the tournament is canceled, a makeup date will be scheduled.
Napier Athletics will make every effort to complete all events. The tournament Director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event.
Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to automatic disqualification.
