Description
Welcome to the Barrington Coast Regional Doubles Tournament which has been postponed for the second time due to wet weather forecasts. The new dates are November 16 and 17 at Wrigley Park, Douglas Street, Taree, NSW.
Registration Opens: Tuesday, 6th August 2024 @ 8:00 am
Registration Closes: When a maximum of 160 players is reached.
This is a Pickleball Australia sanctioned tournament. Global Federation Pickleball rules will be used. These can be found at https://globalpickleballfederation.org/pickleball-rulebook/
Wrigley Park is an OUTDOOR venue, so inclement weather may impact on the delivery of this event.
Please note:
- Any member of Pickleball Australia can enter (members of Pickleball NSW are automatically members of Pickleball Australia).
- To register you will need to create a free Pickleball Brackets login and profile. Your profile must contain your contact number, email, PAA ID number and self rating.
- Entry Fee: $50.00/player. Second Event is $10.00.
- You can play in two events during the tournament but the second event needs to be in a different category e.g. Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles.
- Players are guaranteed three games.
- Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
- Gender doubles will be played on Saturday , 16th November, 2024.
- Mixed doubles will be played on Sunday, 17th November, 2024.
The tournament director reserves the right to postpone, cancel or modify the events and/or schedule as needed pending influences beyond our control (eg. WEATHER CONDITIONS).
Additional Information
• This is a small tournament with registration limited to 160 competitors. Numbers are restricted in each event. It is recommended that you register early. If the event you want to compete in is already full, you will be placed on the Waiting List. This does not mean that you will not be able to compete. It means that we will try to accommodate your registration as places become available. You will be automatically notified if/when you are removed from the Waiting List.
Before registering for this tournament:
• Open categories are available for Mixed, Men's and Women's Doubles. All players rated 4.0+ are encouraged to enter Open events.
• Everyone registering should ideally have a partner registering around the same time. A registration is considered complete when the Team is complete. BOTH players must register within 4 days of the first player's registration OR the team will be moved to the Waiting List. If you do not have a partner, you can look under 'Players Needing Partners' to find a partner. (Click on the large button next to the logo on the Home page of the tournament website).
*If registration is closed and you haven't found a partner, the tournament director reserves the right to assign a partner to you.
• When registrations are closed, any event with insufficient numbers for a competition will need to be collapsed and combined with another event. Competitors in the collapsed event will be notified so they can decide if they still want to play.
• Participants are required to enter events at their current skill rating.
• At a minimum, referees will be scheduled on the gold medal match.
Practice sessions: Friday afternoon 15th November 2-5pm; followed by Meet and Greet 5-7:30pm at the nearby Tennis clubhouse.

It is a condition of entry that all attendees understand that they may be photographed or filmed at the event and that these images may be stored and used by PAA, PANSW, Hallidays Pickleball Club, or our sponsors on websites, social media and other purposes without express permission or payment.
Refund Policy
Player requests for withdrawals will be accepted until close of registration (when 160 players is reached) with a full refund, less administration fees.
General withdrawal after the close of registration will result in a $10 registration payment being retained to cover costs incurred.
After registration closes provision of a medical certificate will ensure a full refund, less administration fees.
Once draws and times are published, NO refund will be given, except when a medical certificate can be provided.
Should the event be cancelled due to weather conditions, full refunds will be given less administration fees.
