We are happy to announce the MPC St. Louis Summer Sizzle is the selected event for the State of Missouri's United Pickleball State Championships.
Which state has the best pickleball players?
The answer will be revealed soon enough, courtesy of the inaugural United Pickleball State Championships (UPSC), a set of tournaments conducted across all 50 states in the country. The Gold Medalists from each of these tournaments will automatically secure invitations to the year-end UPA World Championships in Dallas, TX, and registration fees will be waived.
Each UPSC event will be held at one of the largest pickleball tournaments in each state.
Come the UPA World Championships, a Champions Division will feature all the champions from each division nationwide battling against each other for pickleball supremacy.

Champions Division
Participants who secure skill-level gold at a state championship are eligible for a complimentary event (bracket) fee to the UPA World Championships in Dallas, TX. This exclusive offer recognizes and rewards excellence in the Champions Division and ensures the best possible competition. This UPA World Championships will take place from November 4th to the 9th.
Divisions Offered
We are excited to offer a range of divisions to cater to players of varying age groups and skill levels:
Skill Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0
Age Groups: 18U, 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+
Playing Divisions: MS, WS, MD, WD, MXD’
Please note that participants can choose only one division for Singles (S), Gender Doubles (GD), and Mixed Doubles (MXD).”

Wednesday - Men's/Women's Doubles - 50+, 60+, 70+, Junior Doubles (18 and under)
Thursday - Mixed Doubles - 50+, 60+, 70+, Junior Singles (18 and Under)
Friday - Singles - 19+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+, Junior Mixed Doubles (18 and Under)
Saturday - Men's/Women's Doubles 19+
Sunday - Mixed Doubles - 19+
Format:
Although this is not a USA Pickleball sanctioned tournament, we will be operating according to USA Pickleball rules and regulations.
This tournament will be conducted in the standard Championship Style, Double Elimination Format.
The Upper Bracket will consist of 2 out of 3 games to 11 Points (win by 2).
The Lower Bracket will consist of 1 Game to 15 Points (win by 2).
If there are 5 or fewer teams in a bracket, a Round Robin will be conducted with each match consisting of 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2).
The order of finish will be determined by:
Total Matches won, then the result of head to head competition, and finally by total point differential.
If there are 1 or 2 teams in a bracket - those teams will be merged up or down in skill. This decision will be based on the tournament director’s evaluation.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust brackets and format as needed.
The tournament will request that DUPR upload the results of the tournament.
**********Registration Fees**********
Registration fees include entrance to three events. Additional events are only $10.00/each (Juniors and Seniors may opt in to playing in open age events as well as brackets in their age category).
Regular Registration before June 5, 2024 - $80/per person (plus system registration fee)
On June 6, 2024 until registration closes - $90/per person (plus system registration fee)
Please note that funds cannot be "transferred" to another player.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING REGISTRATION
Players may only play in one event (bracket) per day
A player's registration is not complete until all registration fees have been paid
A team's registration is not complete until both players are registered and registration fees paid.
A limit may be placed on brackets and may fluctuate.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When will official start times be posted? - Approximately 2-3 days following the close of registration, bracket start times will be posted. It is important to note that factors outside of the control of the tournament staff may impact actual court times (matches that last beyond typical times, weather delays, etc).
When will I specifically play? - Once your bracket officially starts, games will be assigned as courts become available.
How do I know where I am playing? - You must have texting enabled on your Pickleball Brackets account. This is the ONLY way you will be notified. Please note that you may forfeit your match if you do not arrive at the court at assigned times.
Where do I find my bracket? - Sign in to the Pickleball Brackets system and chose your event from the page.
How do I know who is playing on which court? - If a team is assigned to a court, then you will see that court assignment number in a blue box next to the teams on the Pickleball Brackets platform.
I need to withdraw from the tournament, can you “swap” my registration for someone else? - Funds/Registration may NOT be “swapped” or transferred. If a substitute is allowed they must register and pay all applicable tournament fees.
Where will results be posted? - Results will be posted on Pickleball Brackets and any additional rating system with whom Pickleball Brackets has an agreement. Check the Pickleball brackets website for additional information.
