Description
The New Canaan Racquet Club Presents the 2021 Spring Fling Pickleball Tournament
Men's Singles, Skinny Singles and Women's Skinny Singles - Friday, June 4, 2021 all day starting at 8:00 AM.
Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles - Saturday, June 5, 2021 all day starting at 8:00 AM
Mixed Doubles - Sunday, June 6, 2021 all day starting at 8:00 AM
The daily event schedule will be posted and emailed to players on May 28th.
This is a Skill Level/Age Group Tournament. Registration is by skill level.
For doubles and mixed doubles, you must sign up at the skill level of the higher rated partner. Players with a PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with a USAPA UTPR rating but no PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with neither rating may self rate.
Ratings will be verified when registration closes.

SKILL LEVEL GROUPS WILL BE SPLIT BY AGE TO CREATE PLAYING EVENTS.
Age groups will be determined by registration numbers.
For a guaranteed spot in mixed doubles or doubles, the second partner must sign up within 5 days of the first partner's registration. Incomplete teams will be moved to the waiting list after that. Once the second partner registers, they will be moved back into the event IF THERE ARE SPOTS LEFT IN THE TOURNAMENT AND THE EVENT.
The tournament format is round robin for events with a small number of teams. For events with more than 9 teams, teams will be divided into two or more seeded pools and the top two teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine medal winners.

The registration fee is $50 for one event and $10 for each additional event. The New Canaan Racquet Club is an air conditioned facility.
Additional Information
In order to insure a safe tournament, the following procedures will be in place at the tournament.
1. Players may bring one spectator.
2. Spectators must sit in designated viewing areas. Chairs will be provided.
3. Players and spectators will only be permitted in the facility during their event.
4. Vaccinated players are not required to wear masks.
5. Vaccinated spectators are not required to wear masks.
6. Vaccine cards will not be checked.
Refund Policy
No refunds for withdrawal from an event or failure to secure a partner.
Refunds minus a $10 processing fee for withdrawals from the tournament up through the close of registration.
No refunds for withdrawals from the tournament after the close of registration.
Entry fees may be transferred to a replacement player at any time up through the morning of the event.
Refunds will be processed after the tournament is over.
If the tournament is cancelled due to State of Connecticut Covid restrictions, players will receive a refund minus a $5.00 fee for costs already incurred.
