The tournament will be run using pickleball brackets, however, your information will be imported to that site. Skill levels will be determined by WPR first, PBB second and self-ratings third. If you register at ALseniorolympics at a skill level that is determined to be below your legal skill level, you will be contacted during the import into pickleball brackets.

Alabama Senior Olympics: 5-year age divisions (starting at 50) and 4 skill level divisions (2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0+)

NOTE: You sign up by age group & skill levels. You may play up in skill and down in age (but at least one partner must be in the appropriate age bracket)

Tournament Operations reserves the right to merge brackets based on number of players in the particular age/skill bracket. Medals will be given to each original age/skill group.

All registration is done thru the Alabama Senior Olympics, however, you must have a profile on Pickleballbrackets.com to participate. Fees ($50) are paid to the Alabama Senior Olympics. This price includes the Pickleball brackets service fee. Register at www.alseniorolympics.org

Additional Information

The anticipated format is round robin for all events.

This tournament is hosted by the Opelika Pickleball Club at the Opelika Sportsplex and Aquatics Center. There are two covered pickleball pavilions. Each pavilion houses 12 individually fenced tournament style courts.

While there is not a limit on teams in a bracket, there is a limit of how many matches can be played in a day. If a day becomes full, registration for the brackets played on that day will close and players will be placed on a waitlist.

Registrations will be added to Pickleball brackets every 7-10 days from a list provided by the Alabama Senior Olympics.

Refund Policy

Inclement weather policy - This is an outdoor tournament. Although the courts are covered, there could be blowing water issues. If weather is a factor, we will do all we can to allow play to continue. There will be no refunds or credits due to weather or other uncontrollable events.
