2024 Nutmeg Fall Classic

Description

The Connecticut Sports Management Group presents the Nutmeg Fall Classic Doubles and Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament.

Young Adult and Adult Division events, for players under 55, will be held on Saturday, October 19th.
Senior Division events, for players age 55 and up, will be held on Sunday, October 20th.

Mixed Doubles will be held in the morning starting at 8:00 AM. Men's and Women's Doubles will be held in the afternoon.

The tournament format is round robin for all events with a limited number of teams. Events with a large number of teams may be split into two round robin pools followed by a playoff for the top teams in each pool. Senior players are welcome to play with a younger partner on Saturday in either Mixed Doubles or Doubles in addition to the Senior events on Sunday.

Registration is by skill level. Skill levels with a large number of teams or players will be split by age into playing brackets. Playing brackets will be configured based on the number of registrations.

Teams MUST play in the age group of the younger partner. For doubles and mixed doubles, you MUST sign up at the skill level of the higher rated partner. Players may play up in skill level ONLY with a higher rated partner.

The rating that will be used for bracket placement is the PickleballBrackets.com tournament rating.

****** Players with a WPR or DUPR that is higher than their PickleballBrackets.com tournament rating who wish to use that rating for bracket placement should contact the Tournament Director, using the Contact Tourney link above, for help signing up for the correct skill level. ******

All ratings will be updated and verified before and after the close of registration.

The tournament director reserves the right to move players and teams to appropriate skill levels.

Groups may be combined or split at the discretion of the tournament director.

The tournament reserves the right to modify the bracket format and number of rounds to comply with the guaranteed number of games per event.

Additional Information

The registration fee is $60 including one event and $15 each for added events.

A non-refundable PickleballBrackets.com software use fee of $5 for one or $10 for more than one event will be applied to every registration.

THE TOURNAMENT HAS A LIMITED NUMBER OF PLAYER SPOTS!!!!
For a guaranteed spot in the tournament, the second partner will have FIVE days to register after the first partner signs up. If the second partner does not register within that time limit, or by the close of registration, whichever comes first, the team will be moved to the waiting list. Once the second partner registers, the team will be moved back into the event IF THERE ARE STILL OPENINGS AVAILABLE.

If an event is full, BOTH PARTNERS must sign up on for the waiting list for a team to be eligible to fill any openings that occur. You cannot just name a partner. There is no charge for signing up on the waiting list for full events. You will be billed only if your team gets in.

PADDLES

Paddles must be listed as approved for play by USA Pickleball at the time of the tournament.

Weather

This tournament is being held indoors so we don't anticipate any weather delays.

Refund Policy

No refunds for withdrawals from an event or for failure to secure a partner.

Refunds, minus a $10 processing fee and the PickleballBrackets.com software use fee, for withdrawals from the tournament up until registration is closed either due to reaching tournament capacity or the registration deadline date of October 9th, whichever comes first.

No refunds for withdrawals from the tournament after registration closes.

Refunds will be issued after the conclusion of the tournament.
