Welcome to the 2024 Southern Pickleball Georgia State Championships.

The Georgia State Championships will take place in the beautiful Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park in Spalding County Georgia. The pickleball facility is a world class 18 court venue with plenty of shade structures, open green space for personal tents, clean restrooms, concessions, and a players hospitality tent.

Please note the courts at Tyus Park are DecoTurf surfaces, therefore, chairs, bags, tents, animals, etc. are not permitted on the courts. The courts are for pickleball play only and non-marking court shoes are the only approved footwear.

SCHEDULE

Friday, November 15th:
Men's Singles and Women's Singles (First match will begin play at 2 pm)
Saturday, November 16th:
Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles (First matches will begin at 9 am)
Sunday, November 17th:
Mixed Doubles (First matches will begin at 9 am)

Please check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time. The check in desk will open at 7 am each morning. In addition, if courts are available and everyone has checked in, we may begin subsequent events earlier than scheduled. Court assignments will be sent out via text messaging on the day of each event.

Refund Policy

This is an outdoor tournament. There are no weather-related refunds for cancellations unless a player has purchased tournament insurance.

We will make every effort to complete all events. Tournament director reserves the right to change format, shorten games, or make any other changes they feel will help complete the event. The last day to withdraw and receive a refund is October 27th 2024. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $15 administration fee. Your spot in the tournament is not guaranteed until your partner has registered, and all fees have been paid in full.

Southern Pickleball offers tournament insurance to players. Tournament insurance covers weather related cancelations, withdrawal due to injury or family emergency. If all events are missed, a player purchasing tournament insurance will be refunded 100 percent of their registration & event fees. If a player plays in an event and other events are missed, the player will be refunded the event fee for the canceled event. A players registration is non transferable.

Players who do not show up for their event and fail to notify the tournament director prior OR leave the event without notifying the tournament director after it has started are subject to a $25 fine. The fine must be paid before registering for any other Southern Pickleball events.
